If you can reserve one of Frederic's three cute, cozy rooms at the foot of the gorgeous Brouwersgracht, you'll be in for a unique experience. And even if all the rooms are full at the charismatically decorated guesthouse, the owners can help you find another room among its network of bed and breakfast townhomes in the grachtengordel.

Rooms, hallways, and the entryway are a friendly chaos of assorted trinkets, art prints, and vintage castoffs. Especially endearing is the randomly-patterned tile work in the shared bathrooms. One room comes with a jacuzzi and a water bed, and if that doesn't tweak your inspiration, the piano in the hallway will.

Best of all, Frederic rents bikes. The residence's location is ideal for beginning your explorations of Amsterdam’s canals.
