Located in a picture-perfect 17th century townhouse along the Kerizersgracht, the Hotel Keizershof is an oasis of calm and quiet. The De Vries family has been running the hotel since 1959 and has managed to keep it peaceful and small, offering only four rooms on the third floor of their home.
Rooms are named after different Hollywood film legends. (We promised the protective management that we wouldn't reveal which legends, as, apparently this can lead to guests clamoring over the same star.) These are bright and spacious. The two rooms facing the canal boast double-sized windows that really let you take in the view. The décor is comfortable and lovingly appointed, and the rooms are perfectly kept.
The hotel is completely nonsmoking—a fact that makes it popular with many American tourists. The De Vries family likes to keep it small, and adds that they're "not looking for backpackers or party-hoppers." In other words, if you're in Amsterdam to have a good time, keep on looking. Well, alright then!
The Hotel Keizershof is located between the Leidestraat and the Vijzelstraat on the Keizersgracht, within easy walking distance of everything in the Old Center and Grach South.
