The three-star Hotel Nicolaas Witsen is a professionally run, modern hotel, located along the border of Grach South and Museumplein and around the corner from the Hotel Kap and Hotel Asterisk.
The hotel offers cheerful, renovated rooms and quiet ambiance to match. The 29 rooms are mostly spacious and pleasantly predictable, if a bit of a snooze when it comes to décor. Rooms have either newly renovated baths (with towel heaters, fresh tiles, new sinks, and showers) or are pre-renovation, though still spic-and-span. Half of the rooms look onto the quiet street, while the other half look onto the neighborhood garden in the back.
