Next to City Hall, across the street from Plateia Kotzia, and a few blocks from Athens' famous central fish and meat market, the Baby Grand Hotel, formerly the Athena Grand, is located in one of Athens' most bustling areas. In contrast to the high-energy activity outside and the rushed behavior of some of the hotel's receptionists, the ambiance inside this neoclassical building is soothing and calming.
The cream-colored walls have white crown molding that merges impeccably with the mushroom-colored curtains. The cream-colored bedspreads, smart artwork, and dark wood furniture tie the whole posh package together.
En suite bathrooms deliver extra swank with cool silver fixtures, complimentary bathrobes, and toiletries from Korres, one of the top skincare and cosmetics companies in Europe.

About the Baby Grand Hotel neighborhood
The gritty transit and commercial hub of Omonia Square is not Athens at its most quaint and ancient. In architectural terms, Omonia is other than charming. But there are plenty of quirky, even inspiring aspects of the area around Omonia Square. For one, there are oodles of ethnic restaurants and immigrant retail shops, giving the area a bit of an international vibe. There's also the mindblowing Central Market, featuring stall upon stall of a dizzying range of goods. While Omonia is a convenient 'hood for cheap sleeps and international fare, keep in mind the area can get a bit sketchy at night.
