Located in a rough-around-the-edges corner of Psyrri, Evripides is a clean and inexpensive plain jane hotel.
Rooms, which don't have televisions, have a fairly random design. Walls are peach, bedspreads are patterned in an assortment of dull color combinations, and floors are tiled. Reproductions on walls and attractive, neutral striped curtains finish the selection. All rooms have private bathrooms.
A top floor TV bar/lounge is open in the evenings, as is the decent rooftop garden. Evripides' location is good for night owls and close to transportation, though the hotel's immediate corner of Psyrri is a little bit grubby and worse for wear. While some may find it quaint, persnickety Cheapos may want to choose a hotel in a tidier neighborhood.

About the Evripides Hotel neighborhood
Like Omonia, Psyrri is a strikingly diverse commercial district, with countless stores and restaurants catering to various groups of immigrants. In the evening, Psyrri morphs into nightlife central, with a very high density of bars, clubs, and cafés. You’ll find both huge dance clubs and intimate hipster-filled holes-in-the-wall in Psyrri. The Thisio and Monastiraki metro stations are most convenient to Psyrri.
