Located on a side street near Omonia Square, three-star Hotel Marina is in an area very busy with trucks loading and unloading their goods. This could be the mantra for the Marina's neighborhood: get in, get out. In other words, you can use one of the Marina's 81 clean and comfortable rooms as your base for exploring Athens, just don't expect to luxuriate there.
The Marina's lobby is completely lackluster but not representative of the rest of this renovated hotel. Bedrooms are clean, air-conditioned, and comfortable, with deep blue and light beige bedding and carpeting. They come equipped with televisions, mini-fridges, and free Wi-Fi. Beds, closets, and desks come in dark wood, while the accompanying tiled bathrooms continue the blue-and-beige color scheme.
Breakfast is included.

About the Marina neighborhood
A gritty transit and commercial hub, Omonia Square is not Athens at its most quaint and ancient, but oodles of ethnic restaurants and immigrant retail shops give the area a bit of an international vibe and the Central Market features a dizzying range of goods. While Omonia is convenient for cheap sleeps and international fare, keep in mind the area can get a bit sketchy at night.
