Cheap hotels near Gran Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona, Spain

Situated on the western side of the Ramblas near Metro Liceu, the Gran Teatre de Liceu (or simply “Liceu”) is the city’s main opera house and dates back to 1847. The current theater was built in 1861, although it has withstood a bombing (in 1893) and another fire (in 1994).

Today’s theater has been beautifully restored and offers daily tours (including a chance to stand and reflect in the Salon of Mirrors). Visit the Liceu's Web site for information on tickets and tours.

Cheap hotels near the Gran Teatre del Liceu: The theater is technically located in the Raval, a neighborhood that is home to several budget-friendly hotels. We also recommend some cheap sleeps along the Ramblas, as well as in the Barri Gotic across the way.
