Arco Hotel

The friendly three-star Arco Hotel offers high-caliber rooms housed in a typical Berlin turn-of-the-last-century apartment block. Tucked onto Geisbergstrasse, the Arco is also conveniently located near western Berlin's major tourist draws—just two blocks south of Wittenbergplatz and KaDeWe, and within minutes of the Nollendorfplatz scene.

Rooms

The Arco’s 23 guest rooms won’t be winning any design awards, but they are clean and comfortable. The utilitarian furnishings (bed, night tables, desk, small standing closet) are standard midrange-hotel issue, but framed prints add a little character.

Each room is outfitted with a phone, safe and satellite TV. As the hotel is housed in a historic apartment building, some rooms are downright huge. Others are on the small side, but since the “Economy” rooms tend to cost the same as the standard, we recommend selecting the latter when booking. Views are of a quiet street or an even quieter back garden.

Bathrooms

The private bathrooms are clean and offer a hair dryer and basic toiletries.

Hotel

The Arco Hotel is the sort of place that keeps guests returning. It’s simple, affordable and conveniently located, and the service is oh-so-friendly. We also liked the stylish glass elevator and leafy courtyard.

Breakfast is included in the room rate, but Internet use costs extra (and is only available in the lounge). The hotel also offers bike rentals and very cheap parking (just €3 a day).
