The six-floor City Hotel Ansbach sports a fabulous location, just one block north of Wittenbergplatz and next door to the swankier Air in Berlin Hotel.
The hotel is another big, old-fashioned operation, with 24-hour reception and 60 rooms. Rooms are cheerfully decorated and simply furnished,if a bit dated. Some offer shared facilities while most have private, white-tiled baths that are no-frills. Other than a bed, these "no-nonsense" rooms are furnished with a basic table and chair set, a television, and a framed print.
Given the Ansbach's reasonable prices and central location, we think the hotel provides a fine value.
