Honigmond—the literal translation of "honeymoon" in German—surely lives up to its name. We hope this is one honeymoon that will never end! Like its sister property, the Honigmond Hotel and Pension, the Honigmond Garden Hotel is plucked from a storybook, offering rooms that are sumptuously decorated and lovingly restored. We're sold.
The Honigmond Garden occupies a meticulously restored building that dates back to 1845. The reception area is artfully done up in "old village" style, with exposed brick, dark period furniture, and flickering candelabras.
Unsurprisingly, bedrooms are decorated with flair. In one double, deep red walls and a stained wood floor set the stage, accompanied by a cast-iron bed and gold-framed mirror. You can barely hear the busy Invalidenstrasse bustle outside your hotel, thanks to the first-rate soundproofing. Another room, a charming single, features a lovely carved wooden bed, a matching nightstand, light green walls, and a sitting area. Rooms on the back look out onto a splendid oasis of a garden, sculpted and landscaped to allow maximum peace and quiet.

About the Honigmond Garden Hotel neighborhood
Once the heart of East Berlin, Mitte was the former East Germany's showcase hood. With the grand Unter den Linden boulevard running right through it, Mitte's grand buildings, government offices (including the awe-inspiring Reichstag), major museums, embassies, and side streets are undeniably majestic. On the north side of Mitte, cool shops and night spots lure visitors both day and night.
