Malaga: Cheap Seats

While the Costa del Sol gateway of Malaga is fast on its way to becoming a cultural capital to rival Sevilla and Granada, the city still has trouble attracting any concerts worthy of note—that is, except for the city’s premier venue, the Cervantes Theater.
Having survived multiple periods of neglect since its mid-19th century construction, the revamped theater now hosts the city’s widest array of international acts, complete with classic layout, including opera boxes and a stunning mural across the venue’s high ceilings. As an added bonus, ticket prices tend to be shockingly cheap, no matter who is playing.
The Cervantes will welcome Nick Cave, Ricki Lee Jones, the Violent Femmes, and Elvis Costello in the coming months.
