A few glances at yesterday’s Dagens Nyheter (Sweden) and Dagbladet (Norway) turned up some amazing package holiday deals.
Stockholm’s Dagens Nyheter listed an advertisement for a week in the Azores, departing from Stockholm and including air and hotel, for SEK1995 (€220; $287) by Solresor. We also glimpsed an advertisement for a Viking Line cruise deal: Stockholm to Mariehamn in the Åland archipelago for a remarkable SEK25 (€2.75; $3.60). You’re reading that right. Reminds us of a really good article we read somewhere.
Meanwhile, Sissel Fantoft of Oslo’s Dagbladet writes a love letter to Norwegian cheapos. Fantoft’s article compares package holiday pricing for Gran Canaria, Crete, Mallorca, and Cyprus. The cheapest deal in Fantoft’s review: one week on Playa del Ingles on Gran Canaria for two in May, airfare and hotel included, for NOK5,796 (€713; $929) by Apollo.
Elsewhere in Dagbladet, we spied an ad for a one week Montenegro vacation, airfare and hotel included, for NOK2,798 (€344; $448), also by Apollo. It’s all relative, we know, but this is rock-bottom pricing for a package vacation originating in Oslo.
