Sky Europe’s Mystery Destinations

We mean to stop blogging about Sky Europe every few days, but we can’t stop our nattering. Why? We love Sky Europe for its routes to the Adriatic, its Bratislava base, its new 737s, and that gorgeous seat upholstery…

OK, not the seat upholstery. It’s just that when we get into something we have trouble holding back.

And then there’s the following. The other day, while looking up flight availability for a demanding friend, we noticed “Mystery” listed as a destination, along with the phantom airport code of MYS. When we tried to book a trip to Mystery, we found cheap round-trip fares (starting at SKK1198; €35; $45) and a short (one-hour) flight time. See for yourselves:

Astute mystery-haters can, of course, peruse the Sky Europe timetable to ascertain where the flights to MYS are actually headed. Sky Europe’s flights to Mystery remind us of Luxair’s same-day Surprise flight deals. The Luxembourg carrier charges €131 (including taxes and fees) for their day-trip Surprise flights.
