One of the most exciting things about visiting a new place is discovering the local celebrity infrastructure. While in Vilnius we came across Klubas, a Lithuanian celebrity magazine.

Singer Dove is featured on the cover of the current issue (thanks to a digital camera mishap, another cover is reproduced above) and also occupies a six-page spread. Other local stars garnering attention include pop star Minedo and writer Jurga Ivanauskaite.

Less over-the-top splashy than its Nordic sister publications, Klubas’s local celebrity content outpaces coverage of international stars by about 3 to 1.

For good measure Klubas also sports tons of photos of Madonna in argyle and Adidas, suspended as she so often is between disheveled yoga chic and chavdom.

And for those who prefer exploring Lithuanian politics and lifestyle to Lithuanian celebrity—there’s got to be at least one of you—there’s also a splashy publication called Ekstra to peruse.
