Located along Gannzenstraat, about a 10-minute walk south of Markt Square, the colorful Hobo Bed and Breakfast provides three well-priced rooms, all with private shower.
Each of the Hobo's rooms has its own theme. On the second floor, the "Navy Blue" room sports navy carpets, wallpaper, and wood paneling, while the "Black and White" room is more arty, with black, white and gray fabrics, carpets and photos. On the top floor, the pink and red "Romantic Room" sits under impressive wooden beams, and has a private shower and toilet. (It is the only room without a TV.)
A continental breakfast is served downstairs in the B&B's violet-colored breakfast room, decorated with abundant flowers, paintings, and plants. The friendly Kristin Van Eeghem, a professional translator, took over the guest house in 2007.
Note: The Hobo B&B charges a €10 surcharge for one-night stays.
