The small 'T Keizershof is pure cheapo. Located along the walk into town from the train station, the charming hotel has seven simple and clean rooms.
'T Keizershof has a brick façade with big street-level windows and cutesy flowerboxes hanging from the second floor. Inside, wooden tables and chairs sit in a plant-filled breakfast room.
Upstairs, rooms are painted in bright orange and yellow. All are furnished with a bed and small side tables, and are equipped with a sink. Although none of the rooms has private facilities, several toilets and showers are provided on each floor.
We were charmed by Hilde and Stefaan Vandooren-Vloeminck, the owners, and their two small children (whose artwork decorates the breakfast tables). They seemed content on keeping the hotel simple and inexpensive. As Hilde pointed out to us, "When you are sleeping, we look just like one of those big fancy hotels!"
Note: The hotel will wash and dry clothes for €7.50. Parking is provided free of charge.
