Located on a quiet street less than a five-minute walk from many major sights, the Hotel Corvin provides standard accommodations with a few pleasant surprises.
The building's façade looks more like a brick Gaudi structure than a place to bed down. A fun wrought iron awning frames the front doors and once inside, the lobby’s swirling floor leads you to reception.
The atmosphere at the Corvin is standard budget hotel. Forty-two identical rooms sport neutral bedspreads and bland, teal-colored furnishings. Beige walls are brightened a bit with cheery art and yellow curtains.
A breakfast room is just off the terrace. A modest bar is located behind the reception area. We suggest that guests hit the back patio for the real action though. Since the Hotel Corvin shares a pretty back courtyard with the
Hotel Sissi next door, a simple BBQ pit is usually in full swing on nice days. It's surrounded by greenery, which helps hide a rear parking area.
