Having just escaped a flea's nest of a hotel down the street, the EuroCheapo team found a truly welcome relief in the Cab Inn Copenhagen Express. We won't go into the details, but we will tell you that the cheapies we recommend stand out from the others—the many, many others—and the Cab Inn Express is no exception.
This 617-bed hotel has a welcoming staff and an expansive lobby that also serves as a lounge. Rooms sleep one to four persons and come in four categories: Standard, Commodore, Handicap, Family, and Commodore Family. Commodore rooms, as their slightly grander title implies, are more spacious than Standard ones.
Rooms are almost identical to those found at the sister Cab Inn City. The theme is nautical and the style is Danish with sleek shower heads, teal accents, and strategic lighting illuminating everything from the coffeemaker to the bed. The decks look freshly swabbed, and the clean cabins passed our tests with high marks.
The breakfast buffet is not included, however it is both expansive and affordable (DKK50/€7). Drinks and snacks are for sale at the front desk.
