Located in the thick of the Old Town action (and right around the corner from the famed Tivoli Gardens), the Hotel Twentyseven is a four-star splurge with styles for miles. Opened in 2007, the hotel oozes with modern design and high-class hipness.
From the moment you walk through the hotel's doors, you're surrounded by an aura of cool. From the avant-garde photos of modern Alices in Wonderland to the slick leather sofas to the bursts of bright yellow punctuating the black color scheme, the hotel takes it design pedigree seriously.
The 200 guestrooms are equally stylish. Shiny red cabinets and desks work well with black chairs and minimal white bedding. Singles are spacious enough that they could work for couples, and the deluxe doubles have pretty gray and white sofas. All rooms are equipped with TV and have free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms are just what you'd expect from the coolest kid on the block: namely, sleek and stylish with black tiles and white walls.
If you plan to shell out and live the good life during your stay, this place has got you covered. The Hotel Twentyseven boasts not one, but three bars within its walls: Choose from The Wine Room, the Honey Ryder Scandinavian Cocktail Lounge, and the quintessentially touristy Icebar Copenhagen. TVs in the downstairs bathrooms screen "Saturday Night Fever" non-stop, and a disco ball hangs over the sink.
If this all sounds too much for you, never fear: As an added, less extravagant, perk, the hotel offers a complimentary light dinner buffet in the evenings.

About the Clarion Collection Hotel Twentyseven neighborhood
Old Town is the geographic center of Copenhagen. Its primary claim to fame? Strøget, Europe's longest pedestrian shopping street. (Don't look for it on a map—it's made up of five different streets, and none share its name.) Anchored on the west by Råadhuspadsen with a host of souvenir shops, Strøget slopes east to Kongens Nytorv, the shops increasing in style (and price) along the way. For non-shoppers it offers an array of fountains, cafés, and people-watching.
In addition to a smorgasbord of shopping, Old Town is also home to a student friendly and plaza packed Latin Quarter and to the historical and political center of the city, Slotsholmen. Oh, and to hotels. This being the fashionable district and the city's center (and expensive Copehagen), most hotels of Old Town are not what we'd call cheap, but for those who insist on being in the center of things, there are deals to be had.
