The 64-room Hotel Maritime has very clean, comfortable, fresh rooms in a convenient area half a block from the waterfront. Not only is Nyhavn Canal just around the corner, but Amalieborg palace, Amaliehaven park, and multitude of sleek boutiques and restaurants are within easy walking distance.
Rooms are not entirely imaginative, but they do offer a subtle nautical theme, with blue carpets, cute bedspreads, and simple light wood furniture. Bathrooms are very clean, though the shower floor and the bathroom floor are one and the same. Windows are double paned, though on this quite street noise shouldn't really be a problem.
Soft drinks, sandwiches, coffee, and tea are available for purchase in the lobby. Our only complaint: the staff could be friendlier, particularly the management.
