Editor's note: The Ibis Copenhagen Star Hotel has since changed its name to the Norlandia Star Hotel.
The Ibis Copenhagen Star Hotel is the nearly identical sister hotel to the Ibis Trinton Hotel, located just around the corner. The largest of Copenhagen's three Ibis hotels, the Star is a safe, convenient bet for the Central Station area. It promises clean, if a little bland, accommodation with steady service.
The 134 rooms have furnishings one would expect from a mid-price, "cost-effective" hotel chain. Room rates are stable throughout high and low seasons—no crazy supply-and-demand fluctuations during peak tourist times. Plus, the Star is clean, well taken care of, and decently sized: there's not a closet-sized single to be found in the bunch.
All rooms have that dulled flamingo pink carpet (ubiquitous in the Ibis chain), turquoise and coral bedspreads, and plain polished wood furnishings, including wall-mounted headboards and writing desks. Bathrooms are clean and simple. Two-thirds of the rooms look out to streets, while the remaining third overlook a pleasant patio where breakfast is served during the warmer months.
Smoking is permitted in rooms on the first and second floors; floors three to five are smoke-free. Breakfast costs an additional DKK65. |
