The Saga Hotel, located just around the corner from Central Station, is definitely a safe bet. A two-star with 79 rooms, it offers facilities for a range of budgets, including rooms with shared toilets and showers in the corridors.
Though not exactly shiny or new, the Saga's rooms are clean and comfortable: the slightly dated furniture and decoration is in need of a little facelift but still in good condition. (The odd vintage Danish or Matisse-style art print brightens things up a bit.) The bathrooms are clean and simple with linoleum floors. We suggest getting a room that overlooks the quiet courtyard.
What else does this Saga entail, you might ask? Free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and a smoking lounge (if you’re so inclined). Aside from these practical amenities, it's the central location that makes this a worthy pick.

About the Saga Hotel neighborhood
The Central Station & Tivoli area is home to many of Copenhagen's main attractions. Trains to and from the airport can be caught at the Central Station (Hovedbanegarden). Though the neighborhood is quite safe, it can seem dodgy at night, when it morphs into Copenhagen's Red Light District.
