Clifden House is a jewel of a small hotel, located in a majestic Georgian building on the guesthouse-packed Gardiner Place. With just 15 rooms in total, Clifden's immaculate rooms and high-ceilinged hallways suggest a romantic Georgian past. The rooms vary considerably in style, from sparse and stately to bright and almost overstuffed, but the quality is consistent across the rooms. All of the Clifden's rooms have private bathroom facilities.
The low rates, which rival the least expensive guesthouses in Dublin, are a huge plus. Additionally, the Gardiner Place location is great for visitors hoping to obtain a sense of a less touristy, more contemplative Dublin.
