Pempelfort is situated a ten-minute walk from Dusseldorf's Old Town and is just north of the Hofgarden (palace garden). Many sights are found inside the garden. Deutsche Oper am Rhein is located on the south side of the park while the Goethe Museum is on its eastern edge. The Theatermuseum sits nearby and the Museum Kunst Palast is located close to the Rhine River just off the Hofgartenufer.
