About
One of the big two German low-cost carriers and is Germany’s second largest airline after Lufthansa. Air Berlin flies out of 20 airports in Germany to destinations across Europe. In light of its size, Air Berlin is one of the most important low-cost carriers in Europe. It's especially good for getting to and from Germany.

Air Berlin offers quite a few perks that other low-cost airlines do not. First off, it doles out complimentary snacks and drinks on flights, perks that are close to unheard of in the low-cost world, as well as free newspapers and seat assignments. The airline also runs a frequent flyer program and offers connecting flights as single fares, fully guaranteeing that luggage will make the connection. Departure: Salzburg, Austria - W A Mozart (SZG)

W.A. Mozart Airport in Salzburg, Austria is named after Salzburg-born composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Location: The W.A. Mozart Airport is located 4 km (2.5 mi) from the center of Salzburg and 2 km (1.2 mi) from the Austrian - German border.

Transport:

- Rail: From Salzburg "Hauptbahnhof" main railway station you are 15-20 minutes away from the airport and many tourist resorts. For exact rates and times consult the Austrian Railways Official Website.

- Bus: Buses operate at regular intervals (every 10 minutes) between Salzburg main railway station and Salzburg Airport. Sundays and public holidays every the buses run every 20 minutes. The journey time is approximately 20 minutes

- Taxi: A taxi stand can be found both directly in front of Salzburg "Hauptbahnhof" main railway station and the airport terminal taking travelers directly to the check in desks.

Service: The W.A. Mozart Airport offers many opportunities for travelers to shop and eat whether visitors would like a sit down dinner or a quick snack. The restaurants can be found on the first floor.

Arrival: Tenerife, Spain - Sur Reina Sofia (TFS)

Tenerife South Airport, previously known as Tenerife South-Reina Sofia Airport, is one of two international airports located on the island of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. The airport was inaugurated in November of 1978 by Queen Sofía of Spain, after whom the airport is dedicated. The high season for Tenerife is during the winter months when Northern European tourists migrate to take advantage of the warm Tenerife winter weather. The airport is open 24-hous and offers more than 100 connecting flights.

Location: Tenerife South Airport is located 60km (37.5 miles) south of the capital city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Transport:

- Bus: There are three bus routes to choose from, all of which are located outside the Arrivals Hall. Travelers can find connection to Puerto de la Cruz, North Tenerife Airport, and the beaches on the south shores of the island.

- Taxi: Taxis are available in front of the Arrivals Hall. They can be taken to the Santa Cruz de Tenerife city center. The journey will be approximately one hour.

Service: In the airport terminal there is a bank, ATMs and a post office. Travelers can also find many places to eat and shops (which include duty free areas and a newsstand). Other airport amenities include a pharmacy, 24-hour medical center, and a chapel. more...
