Germanwings is an indisputable giant, one of Germany's big three budget airlines. In 2007 Germanwings brought seven new Airbus A-319 planes into the fleet. These new planes currently have the lowest emissions rate.
In addition to its nine German destinations, 'wings' flies to four destinations in Turkey, six in Greece, six in Italy, and four in Croatia. The airline's less-served destinations include Moscow, St. Petersburg, Skopje, Tirana, Ohrid, Belgrade, and Pristina.

Departure: Varna, Bulgaria - Varna International (VAR)

Varna International Airport serves the coastal city of Varna, which is known as Bulgaria's most important port city.

Location: Varna International Airport is located 7.5 km (5 miles) west of Varna.

Transport:

- Bus: Be aware that the bus station in front of the Terminal 1 "Departures" area is the drop of point for buses coming from the city only. In order to catch a bus into the city or to the seaside resorts, travelers must go to the stop located in front of the VIP hall. All buses operate every 15 minutes.

- Taxi: The main taxi rank is located in front of Terminal 1 "International Arrivals." It is highly recommended that travelers pay close attention to the price as quoted per kilometer. The journey takes about 15 minutes, depending on traffic.

Service: At Varna Airport
travelers can the building’s four coffee bars (Good morning Varna!). There are a couple of duty free shops located in Terminal 3 and Terminal 4. The airport also contains a currency exchange and has ample security.

Arrival: Berlin, Germany - Schoenefeld (SXF)

In Brief: Berlin Schönefeld, one of three airports in Berlin, lies on the outskirts of the city, 18 km (11 miles) away. Schönefeld handles a lot of low-cost and charter airline traffic; it is one of the most important low-cost airports in Europe. EasyJet, to offer one example, has its very own terminal at Schönefeld, which impressively serves almost 30 destinations. Other low-cost and charter airlines serving Berlin Schönefeld include Ryanair, Condor, Germanwings, and Iceland Express.

Transporation: Schönefeld can be reached by the Airport Express train or S-Bahn train. Both forms of transportation cost just €2.10 one-way. The Airport Express takes 25 minutes, while the S-Bahn takes 40 minutes.
