Norwegian Air Shuttle is the second largest airline in Scandinavia and the fourth largest low cost carrier in Europe. With its main base in Oslo and secondary hubs in Warsaw, Bergen and Stavanger and code-sharing arrangements with, Sterling, and Rossiya, Norwegian Air Shuttle's network is broad.

A huge selling point is Norwegian's fab offerings across the wide expanse of far-flung Norway. Beyond that, the airline's route map is interesting for its even geographic balance.

Upside

Great network in Norway; good overall route density. Excellent customer service.

Downside

Only one base (in Warsaw) outside of Norway.

Baggage

* Carry-on: Only one item of hand luggage, not to exceed 10 kg.
* Checked: Two pieces of luggage, not to exceed 40 kg. Over the limit, you will be charged €9 per kilo. Other restrictions do apply, so check their site for details.

Seating

You can reserve seats up to 25 hours prior to your departure.  It can be done at the time of booking or later.  Non-refundable reservation fees apply and vary by destination.  Passengers can reserve seats with extra leg room as long as they are allowed to sit in front of the emergency exit.  

Check-in and Ticketing

Online check-in is not available.  Passengers must check in at the airport at least 30 minutes prior to departure for domestic flights and 45 minutes prior to international flights.  Passengers on domestic flights with only hand luggage do not need to check-in at all.

Departure: Budapest, Hungary - Ferihegy (BUD)

In Brief: Budapest has followed a recent trend across several big airports in Europe by reserving an entire terminal for low-cost airlines. Wizz Air and Ryanair are the two biggest low-cost airlines at Budapest, though the airport is also served by a huge number of conventional airlines, and is the base for the Hungarian flag carrier Malev. Transportation: The most budget-friendly way to get to or from the airport is by bus. Bus 93 runs from Terminal 1 to the Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal; bus 200 runs from Terminals 1 and 2 to Kőbánya-Kispest. From the metro station, the journey to Deák Ferenc Square takes just twenty minutes and costs HUF230 (€.90; $1.35). The train link is only slightly more expensive. Twice an hour trains depart from the airport for Budapest's Nyugati train station. The journey takes around 20 minutes and costs HUF300 (€1.20; $1.75).

Rhodes International Airport, also known as Diagoras International Airport, serves the island of Rhodes, Greece. Location: Rhodes International Airport is located 12 km (8 miles) southwest of Rhodes, near the town of Paradhissi. Transport: - Bus: The airport bus station is outside the terminal building. The buses that stop here provide service to and from the airport and the Rhodes city center as well as other destinations. Buses provide frequent departures on the weekdays, less frequent on weekends. - Taxi: Taxis can be found at the taxi rank just outside the terminal building.
