Norwegian Air Shuttle is the second largest airline in Scandinavia and the fourth largest low cost carrier in Europe. With its main base in Oslo and secondary hubs in Warsaw, Bergen and Stavanger and code-sharing arrangements with, Sterling, and Rossiya, Norwegian Air Shuttle's network is broad.

A huge selling point is Norwegian's fab offerings across the wide expanse of far-flung Norway. Beyond that, the airline's route map is interesting for its even geographic balance.

Upside

Great network in Norway; good overall route density. Excellent customer service.

Downside

Only one base (in Warsaw) outside of Norway.

Baggage

* Carry-on: Only one item of hand luggage, not to exceed 10 kg.
* Checked: Two pieces of luggage, not to exceed 40 kg. Over the limit, you will be charged €9 per kilo. Other restrictions do apply, so check their site for details.

Seating

You can reserve seats up to 25 hours prior to your departure.  It can be done at the time of booking or later.  Non-refundable reservation fees apply and vary by destination.  Passengers can reserve seats with extra leg room as long as they are allowed to sit in front of the emergency exit.  

Check-in and Ticketing

Online check-in is not available.  Passengers must check in at the airport at least 30 minutes prior to departure for domestic flights and 45 minutes prior to international flights.  Passengers on domestic flights with only hand luggage do not need to check-in at all.

Departure: Dubrovnik, Croatia - Dubrovnik (Cilipi) Airport (DBV)

Dubrovnik Airport, also known as Cilipi Airport (after the suburb in which the airport is located), is the main airport serving the Croatian city of Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik's main airport won the Croatian National Tourist Board's award for best decor in 2006. Among other delights, travelers can stroll the airport's gardens. Location: Dubrovnik Airport is located 21 km (13 miles) southeast of the Dubrovnik city center. Transport: - Bus: There are frequent bus departures from the airport to Dubrovnik. Travelers must be aware that some buses may not provide service all the way to Dubrovnik and may stop at the town of Cavtat, which is located 5 km away from the airport. The public bus company providing service to airport is Libertas Dubrovnik. - Taxi: Taxis can be found outside the terminal building. Companies include 'Taxi and Transportation Service Dubrovnik' and 'Dubrovnik On-Line Taxi Service'. Service: There is an information desk located in the main terminal building. Arrival: Berlin, Germany - Schoenefeld (SXF)

In Brief: Berlin Schönefeld, one of two airports in Berlin, lies on the outskirts of the city, 18 km (11 miles) away. Schönefeld handles a lot of low-cost and charter airline traffic; it is one of the most important low-cost airports in Europe. EasyJet, to offer one example, has its very own terminal at Schönefeld, which impressively serves almost 30 destinations.

Other low-cost and charter airlines serving Berlin Schönefeld include Ryanair, Condor, Germanwings, and Iceland Express.

Transporation: Schönefeld can be reached by the Airport Express train or S-Bahn train. Both forms of transportation cost just €2.40 one-way. The Airport Express takes 25 minutes, while the S-Bahn takes 40 minutes.
