Vueling is a Spanish budget airline with several hubs and destinations throughout western Europe. 

While there are many complaints about the airline's planes and customer service, it remains a favorite for its easy pricing system and its brand aesthetics, which are bright, appealing and fun.

Upside

Nice destination tally in an appealing brand. Friendly and energetic cabin crew and staff.

Downside

Recently found itself in financial trouble.  Cramped planes and very little legroom. 

Baggage

* Carry-on: One piece of carry-on luggage, not to exceed 10 kg.
* Checked: Up to 23 kg of luggage at the rate of €10 per bag. Over this, you will be charged €10 per kg. Note that you must pre-register your checked luggage in advance of your flight. Otherwise, a penalty fee (€20) applies for each unregistered bag.

Seating

You can quickly and easily choose a seat once you've booked your flight on-line. "XL" seats with more legroom are available from €10 to €13, depending on the duration of the flight.

Check-in and Ticketing

Passengers can check-in online from 7 days to 3 hours hours before departure.  It is available for passengers with or without checked baggage.  Those with special needs are encouraged to check-in at the airport.

Vueling was the first Spanish airline to allow customers to choose where they wish to sit at the time of booking.

Departure: Santiago, Spain - Santiago de Compostela (SCQ)

Santiago de Compostela Airport - Lavacolla serves as Galicia’s most important International Airport located on the outskirts of its capital city Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Major budget carriers that provide service to the airport include (but are not limited to) Ryanair, Clickair and Vueling.

Location

Santiago airport is located 10 km northeast of the city, in the municipalities of Santiago de Compostela, O Pino and Boqueixon, in the province of A Coruña.

Transport

• Bus: Routes run by the Freire autobus company between the Santiago airport and the Lugo bus station (Plaza de la Constitución s/n) as well as to different parts of the city of Santiago (such as Dr. Texeiro, Avenida de Lugo, Bus station and San Lázaro). Service is also provided by the Freire company for Ryanair flights. These Ryanair service routes connect the airport with the Plaza de Galicia in Santiago. • Taxi: Taxis are found right outside the main terminal building.

Arrival: Tenerife, Spain - Norte Los Rodeos (TFN)

Tenerife North Airport is one of two international airports on the island and serves as an inter-island hub, connecting all seven of the Canary Islands, and offers connections to the Spanish Peninsula, Europe, and South America as well.

Location

Tenerife North Airport is located to the north of the Island, in the municipality of San Cristobal de la Laguna, 10 km from the capital (Santa Cruz de Tenerife).

Transport

• Bus: There is bus service available at the airport which connects travelers to most of the resorts on the island. You have a choice of four lines (all of which depart from the Arrivals Hall). For further details on timetables and fares, visit the bus company’s Website.

• Taxi: The taxi rank is outside the terminal building. Be aware that there is an airport supplement fee.

Tenerife North Airport contains various cafes and bars and a good selection of airport shop.
