Italian budget airline WindJet flies from ten airports in Italy, three in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Rostov), and a smattering of other destinations in Romania, Spain, France and Greece. Forlì and Catania are WindJet's primary bases.

A relatively small budget airline, WindJet is a good way to get to and from Italy.

Upside

Forli, the base airport, is good for getting to and from Emilia-Romagna and Sicily.

Downside

Limited route map not good for expansive trip planning. Frequent delays.

Check-in and Ticketing

Check-in at the airport opens 2 hours prior to the flight and closes 40 minutes before departure.  Web check-in is also available.

Domodedovo International Airport is one of three major Moscow airports and is the largest airport in Russia in terms of passenger and cargo traffic. Location: Domodedovo International Airport is located 43 km (27 miles) outside the Moscow city center. Transport: - Rail: The Aeroexpress train is a high-speed train connection that travels non-stop from Moscow, Paveletsky station, to Domodedovo International Airport and back. The trip's duration is approximately 45 minutes. An alternate train is available that follows the same route with more stops en route. - Bus: Modern Scania buses travel non-stop to Domodedovo International Airport from the Domodedovskaya underground station. Journey time is about 30 minutes. - Taxi: Taxi service is available to and from the airport. Payment should be made to the driver when boarding the taxi. Arrival: Milan, Italy - Orio Al Serio (BGY)

Orio al Serio International Airport is an airport that serves low-cost traffic flights into Milan. Location: Orio al Serio International Airport is located 45 kilometers (27miles) from Milan, and 5 kilometers from Bergamo. Transport: - Rail: After arriving at Bergamo railway station by train, passengers should take the ZANI bus shuttle service from Bus Stop 12 to the Orio al Serio airport. For the train schedule visit the Trenitalia Site. - Bus: The Zani Bus Service can be found at the front entrance of the airport. There are other private bus services available as well. The airport is easily reachable by bus from Bergamo, Milan and Brescia. Schedules for the shuttles can be found on their officials sites. The companies include Airport Bus, Autostradale, and Orio Shuttle. - Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport. Service: There is an Information Office located at the airport. Travelers can enjoy shopping at the fashion boutiques and shops selling a range of good quality gifts and leatherwear, newspaper and tobacco, as well as the duty free shop. There are restaurants and wine bars located throughout the airport. There is a bank located at the airport, as well as ATMs, and a post office.
