The three-star Hotel Cimabue offers peaceful and elegant accommodations in a quiet residential area north of the tourist center. A recent facelift brought the Cimabue’s 21 rooms and private bathrooms up to date, but left their antique style intact.

Rooms have intricate iron or antique wooden beds. Bedspreads and curtains come in cheerful blends of yellows, blues and greens. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Pink-and-white tiled bathrooms feature chrome fixtures and box showers, with a few bathtubs available.

Since first-floor rooms have low ceilings and don’t get much light, we recommend requesting one of the light-filled second-floor rooms, which feature higher ceilings and original 19th-century frescoes. There are also several family-friendly rooms and some connected doubles.

The breakfast room is done up in yellow and pale green, with café-style seating and a shiny white coffee bar. Breakfast is included.
