Situated in the middle of Frankfurt’s action and steps away from the train station, the three-star Hotel Europa Life is a functional budget hotel with a competent staff and convenient location.
The Europa Life’s 48 tight rooms are functional, if not terribly inviting. They come with all the necessary basics—a telephone, satellite TV and minibar—but the furniture is a bit scratched, the curtains plastic and the carpets sometimes spotty. (We also noted that the air smells faintly of smoke.)
The private bathrooms are also ready for some attention.
The Hotel Europa Life shares a building with the more plush (and more expensive) Hotel Europa Style. The soft-spoken and courteous Mr. Gill has run both hotels Europa for the past eight years. From watching him speak with guests we saw that he cares a great deal about the well-being of both Style and Life guests.
Breakfast is included in the room rate and Wi-Fi is free throughout.

About the Europa Life neighborhood
This neighborhood situated to the southwest of the city center is home to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, the main train station, where there is a branch of the tourist office. The Jewish Museum is found here, as well as the city’s only English-language theater. From Bahnhofsviertel, it is a short walk to other tourist sights in the city center.
