The VIP Suites do Marquês offers just what its name implies—suites, and only suites.
Although they're not the most exciting rooms this side of the Tejo, they are very spacious and clean. Décor is standard '90s hotel fare. Rooms include a sitting area with a couch. Large windows make them feel open. Of the 84 total, half have two twin beds and half have king size beds. All come with a kitchenette, including a stove top, sink, and dining accoutrements.
We loved the rooftop deck. Not only does it offer views of the city, river, and bridge, but there's a pool up there! Dive in.
The Marquês is a bit east of Praça Marquês de Pombal. As the hotel caters to business travelers, its restaurant serves three meals a day.
VIP is a chain with many other properties (of varying quality) throughout Lisbon.
