Bankside House is a London School of Economics dormitory, one of several open to the general public during summer months. All are well-priced for London, and all are good places for budget-conscious visitors.
Rooms are standard dorm issue, and amenities are few and far between. Rooms have telephones, coffee/tea makers, and fans offered on request. Rooms are not equipped with TVs, but you will be able to catch some BBC and Sky Sports in the television lounge. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building, and parking is quite affordable at just £5 per day. Bankside’s whopping 560 rooms include both private and shared bathroom configurations. Breakfast is included in the nightly rate.
Other London School of Economics summer bed-and-breakfast accommodations sites include Carr-Saunders Hall in Bloomsbury, High Holborn Residence in Covent Garden, Passfield Hall (near Euston Station), and Rosebery Hall in Clerkenwell. Winter travelers should note that Carr-Saunders Hall, Passfield Hall, and Rosebery Hall are also available in the weeks around Christmas.
