Set among the Belgrave Road hotel strip, a little ways southwest of Victoria Station, the Lidos has 22 basic en suite rooms along with few rooms with shared toilets. A step up from a hostel, it offers rooms with private toilet and shower (some rooms with shared facilities) at prices other places charge for rooms with shared facilities.
The lobby isn't much to look at, and the breakfast room is a bit dated, but the rooms, are cheerful. Furniture is new and basic. The carpet is OK. Bedspreads and curtains come in bright colors, and rooms have a fridge.
