At the festively decorated Hotel Anaco floors are decorated in an alternating color scheme of attractive reds and greens. While the hotel's exterior won't wow you, the modern, comfortable rooms and super-convenient location are sure to make a positive impression.
Rooms, though not exactly screaming with character, are comfortable and clean with basic amenities like television and air-conditioning.(Many offer views of Tres Cruces, a quiet street.) Bathrooms, all en suite, have been newly renovated. But best of all, is the price—a real value for a prime Gran Via location.
Teofilo Sanchez Rodilla, the Anaco's congenial manager, will do everything he can to make your stay enjoyable. (Though, we have a feeling you won't need much help staying happy here.)
A bar, coffee shop, and restaurant are all located on site. But keep in mind that while the Anaco does serve breakfast daily, it's not included in the price of your room. Plan to tag on an extra five euros to your bill if you want the meal.

About the Anaco neighborhood
The Puerta del Sol is the geographic and historic center of old Madrid. Within walking distance of most of central Madrid's tourist offerings, the Puerta del Sol is an obligatory stop for all visitors to Madrid. Calle Mayor, a major commercial and business street, runs to the west of Puerta del Sol. Tiny, dense streets packed with tapas bars, restaurants, and cafes lie to Puerta del Sol's south. Many of Madrid's best hotels are on the Puerta del Sol, while pensions can be found along the side streets.
