Located within walking distance of the busy Fiera expo center, on a sunny, tree-lined street in an otherwise characterless neighborhood, the three-star Hotel Oro Blu does its job. It provides 27 cozy rooms, with little punches of Milan style, at reasonable rates.
Rooms at the Hotel Oro Blu have plush blue carpet and a blue-and-gold color scheme with brass accents and painted door frames. A flat-screen TV, decorative vase and funky reading lamps are reminders of the posh city outside. Rooms also have air conditioning, a telephone and minibar.
The private bathrooms are clean and spacious with rounded “box” showers and sparkling new appliances.
The Hotel Oro Blu’s lobby is bright and welcoming, with a polished marble floor, a green marble-topped reception desk and funky leather sofas. The walls are painted in contemporary swirls and accented with large Kandinsky-inspired artwork.
Breakfast is included in the room rate. The Oro Blu offers free wired Internet in the business center, and free Wi-Fi in come hotel rooms (ask ahead).

About the Hotel Oro Blu neighborhood
The mammoth Fiera exhibition space dominates this otherwise residential neighborhood to the northwest of Milan’s city center. It won’t come as a surprise that the hotels in this neighborhood tend to be business class—and their rates can skyrocket, especially during convention season (March/April and September/October).
