Located on a quiet boulevard within walking distance of Milan’s central station and the shops on Corso Buenos Aires, the Best Hotel is a convenient—and reasonably priced—two-star property. Throw in an Art-Nouveau façade, funky furnishings and a relaxing garden, and you have yourself a smart Milan pick.The Best Hotel’s 28 guest rooms are basic and clean, with dorm-like furniture, yellow walls and lots of natural light. They also sport occasional touches of style like eye-popping bedspreads, curvy mirrors and a few paintings on the walls. All rooms have soundproof windows, air conditioning, a telephone and TV. Some also have balconies (ask ahead).
The private bathrooms are tiny, but new and spotless.
The corridors and common areas are done up with marble, columns and intricate chandeliers. And the energetic staff, with their evident “Best Hotel pride,” couldn’t be cooler. They’re rightfully enthusiastic about the back garden, where plentiful greenery and a gazebo feel worlds away from crazy city life.
Breakfast is included in the room rate. The Best Hotel offers an Internet station and Wi-Fi, both for an additional fee.

About the The Best neighborhood
Milan’s main train station is not located in the prettiest part of town, and you may spot a few (or several) unsavory characters around here. That said, the area between the station and Corso Buenos Aires is plenty safe, and it’s home to several perfectly adequate hotels—many with rock-bottom rates. You’re also, of course, well situated for getting around the city, and Corso Buenos Airesis home to some of the city’s best shopping.
