About the Hotel d'Aragon neighborhood
Place de la Comedie is considered Montpellier's center and beating heart. Just northeast of the Place is the tree-lined Charles de Gaulle esplanade leading into Jardin du Champs de Mars. West of Boulevard Victor Hugo, and south of rue de la Loge, you'll find Montpellier's oldest quarter featuring narrow alleys and private mansions. Many bars and restaurants are located north of rue de la Loge.
