Tucked away on an old side street southwest of the center, the three-star Bavaria is a family-run hotel with modern décor. The Bavaria is close enough to the action to be convenient, but far enough away to provide some peace and quiet.
Warm colors blend nicely with the fresh wood furnishings in the 48 guestrooms. Corner desk and shiny flat-screen TVs are the norm, as are granite bathroom counters and glistening shower and sinks.
The chic vibe extends to the common areas. The courtyard terrace is decked out with big umbrellas and sleek lawn furniture. The hotel also boasts a swanky indoor bar, an office area with a free computer station, and an attractive breakfast area where a traditional Bavarian buffet is served.
Bavaria also offers two apartment-size rooms, which are a good option for families.

About the Bavaria neighborhood
The blocks south of the Hauptbahnhof, or main train station, feature a staggering number of hotels. Many of Munich's sex shops can also be found here, as well as shopping, restaurants, bars and cafés. Stadtmitte is also nearby and very well served by public transportation.
