Hotel Antares, located just north of the city center, offers 50 rooms on a charming, quiet side street. It's removed from the noise of trains and tourist traps, but conveniently situated near the U-Bahn, cute cafés, and bars.

Rooms are unembellished but perfectly comfortable, with dark wooden bed frames and sailor-blue carpeting. All rooms are equipped with mini-bar and TV. Bathrooms sport attractive lighting and seafoam green tiles, and all are private and have sparkling white bathubs.

Antare's breakfast room boasts a mini-pub and has large windows which overlook the lovely street. A recently-added courtyard garden adds to the hotel's peaceful atmosphere.

Note: Internet access is expensive at the Antares, so opt for an Internet café to check your mail instead.
