Located in the hotel-rich Bahnhof Sud neighborhood near Marienplatz and the Augustiner Grobstatte beer hall just south of the train station, the Hotel Deutsches Theater Stadtmitte is an attractive three-star hotel housed in a beautiful Jugendstil building. The Deutsches Theater’s façade is particularly stunning, calling to mind the architectural richness of Vienna. A deep, gorgeous courtyard buttressed by massive arches runs alongside the hotel.
The hotel features 28 rooms decorated in a number of styles. There's the princessy type with ruffled curtains and antique-replica chairs, and then there are the less adorned, modern rooms with low beds and simple curtains. Both room types have green carpets and cherry-wood furniture. Oh, and make sure to bring your own clock because there won't be one in your room.

About the Hotel Deutsches Theater neighborhood
The blocks south of the Hauptbahnhof, or main train station, feature a staggering number of hotels. Many of Munich's sex shops can also be found here, as well as shopping, restaurants, bars and cafés. Stadtmitte is also nearby and very well served by public transportation.
