Located near the Oktoberfest grounds and a ten-minute walk from Central Station, Hotel Jedermann is a popular and friendly pick. Providing reliable rooms with and without private facilities, the Jedermann makes sense for a wide variety of budgets.
The 55 rooms are rather spacious, but somewhat sleepy when it comes to décor (although more recently-renovated rooms have a bit more decorative zest). The simplest (and cheapest) rooms share bathrooms and have fewer amenities, while rooms with en-suite facilities are equipped with a phone, radio, and TV. Bathrooms are private or shared, and, in both cases, super clean.
Although the Jedermann's lobby has an over-the-top retro vibe that we thought could be freshened up, the reception staff is very friendly.

About the Jedermann neighborhood
The blocks south of the Hauptbahnhof, or main train station, feature a staggering number of hotels. Many of Munich's sex shops can also be found here, as well as shopping, restaurants, bars and cafés. Stadtmitte is also nearby and very well served by public transportation.
