Boasting a posh setting on a quiet street near the English Gardens, the beautiful Hotel Opera is a four-star show-stopper.
Each of the Opera's 25 guestrooms has a unique character and decorative touches ranging from "country Bavarian" to "enchanting Victorian." Rooms come in five different categories (with five different rates): standard, superior, deluxe, junior suite, and suite. All rooms have TVs and some boast balconies (ask ahead). You can't really go wrong with the rooms—they'll all make you feel like royalty.
The bathrooms boast beautiful fixtures, including black-marbled walls and counters, brass faucets, and twinkling porcelain sinks.
The Hotel Opera's hallways and lobby are decorated with stunning statuettes and antique furnishings, and an elegant courtyard only adds to the charm. If you're in the mood to splurge, a night at the Opera is a sure bet.

"Stadtmitte" means City Center. A striking number of Munich's attractions are situated in Stadtmitte. To name a few: Marienplatz, Altes Rathaus and the Munich City Museum. The Frauenkirche, or Dom, is also here. Stadtmitte is Munich at its most distinctive, Bavarian, and downright charming.
