Most folks who visit New York City never get to see the realities of living here full time. However, rooms at the Riverside Tower Hotel provide a glimpse. Although surrounded by grand mansions and near blissful Riverside Park, the hotel has modest rooms for a bargain.
Like many low-cost apartments in the city, the furniture is a mix of old and new, off-white walls are scratched, and carpets are well-worn. This place felt oddly like home.
Unlike most New York apartments, many rooms have a view of the park. And while the building is dated, comforters, pillows, and towels are fresh, and many bathrooms are newly tiled.
