The Museum of Modern Art is located on West 53rd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Midtown Manhattan. The museum offers the largest collection of modern art in the city, rivaling only the Guggenheim Museum.
The MoMA packs in guests for its regular exhibits, which feature world-renowned painters (Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, Mondrian, Warhol, to name just a few), sculptors and photographers. The MoMA also runs a regular film program in its movie theater and holds special events in its sculpture garden.
There’s a hefty admission charge ($25 per adult), so consider stopping by on Friday night for free admission from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. If visiting on the weekends, arrive early or be prepared to wait outside... even to buy a ticket.
