Union Square is a large public square located between 14th Street and 17th Street at Broadway. The park, long a gathering place for political rallies, is a major meeting point and a transportation hub. Shopping and subway options abound here.

Union Square hosts the Union Square Greenmarket, open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. During much of December, the park gives home to a holiday market lined with artisans’ booths.
