Each of the Hotel Grimaldi's four stars is well earned, as this well-situated hotel mixes 19th-century elegance with modern comforts and a prime location near the Promenade des Anglais.
The 46 rooms are large, bright and comfortable. Each floor has a different room color. Carpets, drapes and linens come in pleasing blues, greens and yellows. Modern amenities, including AC, minibar and satellite television can be found in each room. The private bathrooms offer L’Occitane toiletries.
The Grimaldi is made up of two buildings linked by a courtyard garden, which provides a tranquil retreat. The property offers everything you’d expect from a four-star hotel, including an office center, a lounge, free daily newspapers and even currency exchange.

About the Grimaldi neighborhood
The area to the south of the train station and in Nice's center city is full of budget hotels. These vary greatly in terms of character and amenities but generally provide basic rooms at very reasonable prices. Keep in mind that the area immediately surrounding the train station, like in many other cities, has a sleazy edge. The beach is about a 20-minute walk from the train station.
