The three-star Hotel Aria sits in the heart of Nice, near the city's many shops and across the street from the serene Mozart Park. The hotel is also near the beach and the train station.
The Aria's 30 rooms are decorated in bright colors. All are air-conditioned and come equipped with TVs and private bathrooms. Premium rooms with whirlpool tubs and balconies overlooking the park are available for a few more euros.
With doubles starting at €94, Aria is a reasonable, although not Cheapo, pick. We recommend skipping the steep €10 breakfast in favor of a cheaper meal at a café.

About the Hotel Aria neighborhood
The area to the south of the train station and in the center of Nice is full of budget hotels. These vary greatly in terms of character and amenities but generally provide basic rooms at very reasonable prices. The beach is about a 20-minute walk from the train station.
If you do book a hotel near the station, keep in mind that the Nice train station, like many other train stations, has a sleazy edge.
