The three-star Hotel Aria, situated close to the train station in the heart of Nice, offers basic accommodations at very basic prices.
The Aria's 30 rooms are decorated in bright colors. All are air-conditioned and come equipped with satellite television and private bathrooms. Premium rooms with whirlpool tubs and balconies overlooking the park are available for a few more euros.
The Aria is due for a renovation, but with doubles starting at €42, it offers unfussy Cheapos reasonable rooms at steal prices. And the location is great as well—in addition to being in close proximity to the beach and train station, the hotel is near the city's many shops and across the street from the serene Mozart Park.

About the Hotel Aria neighborhood
The area to the south of the train station and in Nice's center city is full of budget hotels. These vary greatly in terms of character and amenities but generally provide basic rooms at very reasonable prices. Keep in mind that the area immediately surrounding the train station, like in many other cities, has a sleazy edge. The beach is about a 20-minute walk from the train station.
