Hotel Lepante is a quaint two-star hotel that offers a distinctively "old European" feel. With a location near the many shops of the Place Massena and the Promenade des Anglais, the Lepante is especially well-situated for tourists who plan to shop while in Nice.
The 27 sponge-painted rooms are equipped with AC, television, and wireless Internet. Ask ahead if you want a room with a balcony. Bathrooms are modern and are stocked with toiletries and a hairdryer.
The Lepante also boasts a quiet and lovely rooftop terrace with lounge chairs and umbrellas.
Note: The Hotel Lepante does not have an elevator, so pack lightly.

About the Hotel Lepante neighborhood
The area to the south of the train station and in the center of Nice is full of budget hotels. These vary greatly in terms of character and amenities but generally provide basic rooms at very reasonable prices. The beach is about a 20-minute walk from the train station.
If you do book a hotel near the station, keep in mind that the Nice train station, like many other train stations, has a sleazy edge.
